The South African Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Premiere was filled with Mzansi’s A-list celebrities who came in blazing with their Afro futuristic outfits at the official premiere that was held at The Zone’s Ster Kinekor in Johannesburg, Rosebank on Wednesday 09 November 2022.
The Zone was converted into a superstar arena by notable local media personalities, actors, musicians, YouTube creators and sportsmen, who walked the Black Carpet and were being interviewed by different media houses.

“Black Panther - Wakanda Forever" is encircled on Queen Ramonda played by Angela Basset, Shuri played by Letitia Weight, M'Baku played by Winston Duku and Okoye played by Dannai Gurira as they fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T'Challa’s (Chadwick Boseman) death.
Legendary SA actress Connie Chiume is once again casted on the movie as a mining tribe elder and the most prideful thing that occurred at the Jozi premiere was the grand entrance she made when walking to the black carpet as the crowd gave her a loud standing ovation.
We had Mr. Nyamz covering the black carpet for us as SWAY where he spoke to various Mzansi personalities in attendance. One of the questions were in context to the first Black Panther movie, where Wakanda was kept a secret from the rest of the world, in comparison to the sequel, where the world is finally gets an idea of Wakanda. We felt it would be fitting to ask our stars what they wish the world knew about Africa, as opposed to the misconceptions often associated with the continent.

Over and above SWAY Digital forming apart of the media companies that were on the Black Carpet interacting with all the stars, we also leveraged our large network of South African celebrities and creators to invite some of the A-list guests that were at the premiere.
