Groovers Prayer is an event entity under 'Groove Afrika' that has a series of curated parties around the theme of nostalgic music from the decades, they have a rooftop series that occurs every month in Sandton Johannesburg, along with a special outdoor festival series that is hosted annually in Joburg, Capetown and Durban.




Groove Afrika's first inception was in Capetown back in the early 2000's where they owned a collection of event entities, founded by Kagiso and Kgabo. Their events went from weekly varsity curated club nights, to a mass festival entity named 'Ipotsoyi' in the heart of the Mother city.





Ipotsoyi hosted festivals with tens of thousands of people in attendance over the years, attracting festival goers through eciting line ups featuring the likes of Micasa, Black Coffee, Cassper Nyovest, Major League, Professor, K.O, Khuli Chana, OkmalumKoolKat, Riky Rick, Stilo Magolide and many other prolific African superstars.
